We play a variety of TTRPG’s in Tryggr but the bulk is made up of games in our Homebrew Campaign setting for DnD 5e called “The House of Many Doors” The multidimensional House of Many Doors serves as a hub from which adventurers embark on their quests.
Every session starts and ends in the House of Many Doors. Doing this means there is always possibility for downtime RP, multiple people get to DM and play. A cure for the forever DM disease is here!
We have several characters from NPC's to PC's that you may engage in between and during games. As such it would be best to get to know them a little before engaging in the House of Many Doors. Just to name a few here.
It’s impossible for Mask to take care of a rambunctious and large group of characters on his own. So there are keepers. These tiny to small creatures cannot speak. They come in many colored robes with hoods they keep up at all times. Only their glowing eyes are visible. The color of their robes seems to correspond with the colors of the crystals and also denote their function within the house. They will aid players with any reasonable request to the best of their abilities.
Astrealix is a golden dragon, and she is old. Very very old. She is a protector of the House of Many Doors and has amassed a significant hoard of gold, dangerous magic items, and other precious artifacts. She is in general helpful to the players and good natured if imperious. She normally appears in her dragon form, but very occasionally she takes humanoid shape. She loves stories and music and is not churlish sharing her own knowledge.
Mask is the owner and proprietor of The House of Many Doors. He controls the house, and the portals that admit entry and exit. He is the person (assuming Mask is a person) who sends the adventurers out to collect crystals that are oddly powerful. He’s not a friendly or in any sense mild mannered character. He is evasive, mysterious and does not let anyone come too close.
Nozz is a small bladesinger kobold who would give his eye teeth for a set of wings. So far he has had no luck in that department though he’s survived situations that would daunt many larger creatures.
He is brave, curious and silly and well loved by his fellow adventurers.
He also loves crafting and finding out what makes things tick.
This particularly roguish kitty cat is very fast, has a constant hunger for chicken, hates water and loves the high ground.
Which is why he’s made his home in a tree. Where he spends his downtime penning down stories. He is collecting as many as he can.
Breeze is an active and very present character that is a good example of why curiosity killed the cat.It’s a good thing he’s got nine lives
This big, soft spoken Firbolg is a quiet and reticent character most of the time. But when asked about a topic he does wish to discuss can be quite voluble.
A wizard spends most of his time on his research. He has big ambitions. He hopes to one day become learned and strong enough to restore his home.
Most of the others in the house have learned to respect his strength and appreciate his warmth.
